Bloemfontein Posduif Federasie started their season this past weekend from Middelburg and the Old Bird Federation was won by the father and sons team Bornman Hokke . This team mainly race Tom Lock pigeons directly out of the R100 000 pair , some of the best Tom Locks in South Africa. They cross these Tom Locks with the imported Steven van Breemen pigeons out of the "Goede Jaarling" and "Super Sue" lines .

The 1st BPF Old Bird Federation winner called "Lize" is bred out of "Gladiator Jnr" one of the best breeding cocks for Bornman Hokke . He is the Bornman line "Blue Angels" crossed with the imported Steven van Breemen line . The mother of the Old Bird Federation winner is a pure Bornman foundation line the "Blue Angels" , she has bred multiple top 10 Federation performers.

The father of "Lize" , ZA BPFD 318 2016 "Gladiator Jnr" is an excellent breeder for Bornman Hokke , being the father of 2 x 1st BPF Federation winners already. "Gladiator Jnr" is also the father to their 4th BPF Combine against 1.100 pigeons on the same weekend , this time on the Young Bird race ,  paired to a different hen ! Top quality cock he breeds winners with different hens .
